I'd like for you to meet Caraline Pierce. She is a beautiful 13 year old who is in my children's homeschool group.
While most kids are excited to celebrate summer by swimming, relaxing, and hanging out with friends, Caraline has chosen a different path.
Caraline was burdened for "thirsty" people around the world when she watched a video in church about water related diseases. She didn't just watch the video and go on with her life like most people do. Instead, she took action.
Caraline is working hard this summer to get a deep water permanent well in an underdeveloped area of the world. She has designed her own website and has been to many community events to help raise awareness of this great need. She is selling t-shirts and wristbands to help fund this project. In addition, Caraline and many of her friends have committed to wearing their "Thirsty Tees" and praying for people without clean water everyday for 40 days.

FYI- When my boys, ages 8 & 9, learned about this great need for water, they voluntarily emptied their piggy banks and made a donation to the construction of a well. What a wonderful way for my kids to unite with others to make a difference in many lives. These are the real lessons in life.
