Hello, Thanks for all of the freebies and posts. I homeschooled my kids last year and I own/direct and teach at a montessori school. I put my older kids (7,9) in school half way through last year because it was too hard when my school was growing so fast. However this year my daoughter (7) was diagnosed with ADHD and a moderate hearing loss so I am considering homeschooling her again. I would love to know why after teaching in the public school system and private schools did you choose to homeschool your own and how I can learn to blog, write curriculum and graphic design!! Thank you so much, I love your blogs!!! Rachel Mother of 4 ages (3,5,7,9) Teacher and director of Discovery Kidzone Montessori preschool and Kindergarten
Hi Rachel! I love teaching children but there is nothing more rewarding for me than to teach my own children. There are also extra benefits, such as homeschooling revolves around my own family's schedule and my kids are so incredibly close since they are together most of each day. There are certainly challenges with homeschooling but the benefits by far outweigh the obstacles for my family.
As far as blogging, we are putting together resources for new bloggers on www.teachingblogaddict.com soon.
I basically taught myself how to blog. If I ran into a problem, I would search the topic online and there are thousands of tutorials to help.
With graphic designing, I still need to learn how to do that myself. ☺
Hope these answers help provide you with some direction. Many blessings!
