If you're looking for ways to help young kids become confident and successful readers,  check out this free e-book that was released this week called "Stepping Stones For Early Readers."  This e-book is written by a former preschool and kindergarten teacher who is now blogging on a website called School Sparks and it is filled with helpful information for parents and teachers on helping children achieve early success with reading.

This e-book has lots of tips and activity suggestions for parents to try at home with their child to increase his or her reading proficiency and confidence.  It includes a brief explanation of the role of phonic rules and sight words in reading and a summary of the importance of understanding basic punctuation.
