Teaching the Rs and Cs

I'm currently planning my homeschool year and setting some goals for my kids. 

This year I'll continue to teach the three Rs-
 Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic

but I will also focus more on the three Cs-
 Character, Confidence, and Courage
